BMO Bank of Montreal Unit #607 & 615 900 Dufferin Street

I experienced the worst customer service of my 12-year history with BMO. I visited a branch to resolve an issue where PayPal unexpectedly charged $19 to an account I rarely use. This triggered four separate $48 fees, totaling $192. The agent I spoke with was incredibly rude and dismissive. He insisted that charging a customer nearly $250 for a $19 unauthorized transaction was 'normal' and refused to offer any assistance or fee reversals. I expressed my frustration, noting that other banks have better protections against such bugs and that the transaction should have simply been declined if funds were insufficient. He told me to call PayPal because, according to him, the bank could not do anything; he maintained that, at the end of the day, I should pay the ~$249 wrongly charged to my account. The gentleman in the first office on the left is highly unprofessional and lacks basic manners. In all my time coming to this bank, I have never encountered an employee so disrespectful and lacking in empathy. Furthermore, he closed customer accounts without authorization, which is unacceptable. I believe his conduct warrants a serious review of his employment. My daughter was asked to leave the branch by him. She as been a customer for over a decade. He blocked his card and account without permission. No one should be treated like this at the bank. This man thinks he can do everything he wants with customers accounts without consequences.

Surprised to fin myself giving a band a perfect rewiew To be clear, this is in no way review of BMP or it's policies in general. This is a review of a location. The staff there have always gone out of their way to be kind and helpful. Recently David Britto made such a positive impression on me - he went above and beyond to help me understand my banking, and to maximize it's benefits for me- that I had to write a good review out of respect and gratitude. However again, the entire staff there is also very good. If you're looking for good human help in your banking, this location is for you.

I’ve never ever been to such a SHITTY BANK I have no words to describe how helpless I am right now I opened my account at this place and normally once you open it everything will be fine to use or good to use and the the second day they said I need to bring my ID back to the bank to verify but all my money is in my account and I have some bills to pay and I absolutely needed to use that account. Then I went to another branch and they told me I had a signature missing that’s l my account was frozen I am so so so pissed off I can’t even describe it !
