This is the first time we had an abysmal customer service experience with this branch (First Canadian Place). I have previously sent emails to the bank recommending people who have provided us exemplary customer service but not this time around. We have been a long standing bank customer and always recommend BMO to friends and families because of their exceptional customer service and flexible banking solutions. But the love and respect we have with your bank just got destroyed by one teller's subpar attitude. For BMO to have a mission statement of "Boldly grow the Good in business and life" and prioritizing great customer service experience, this teller Allie doesn't even exemplify the true meaning of your bank's mission statement. She's the exact opposite of what a good teller should be. From our experience, Allie has shown poor customer service skills, totally has poor communication, lack of motivation (she seems not happy working in the bank judging by how she's not even smiling

Worst bank ever - been with them over 20 years and have good credit, spend a lot of money with them and out of no where just reduce my limits and close my account. I have my credit card completely paid off and just out of no where receive a letter in the mail of closing my account, when phoned they didn’t have any reasonings, and I haven’t missed a payment in over 10 years on ANYTHING. Makes no sense to me- lost another customer today.

I would give no stars, this bank clearly does not care about long term customers and has no cares about taking every last dime out of there account putting them at risk of homelessness. They say the would rather work with you but an out rite lie and end up talking funds out with out permission, leaving you with nothing to pay rent or buy food, completely amazed at how inhumane BMO IS,we will be making a transition to get away from such a horrible buisness. If you read the reviews it really is a horrible buisness.

Went in with my husband today (he is the client there, not me) withdrew some money from the teller who wanted to send him a confirmation code AFTER we had shown ID and put in bank card with pin in the machine. I've never seen or heard of this third layer of fraud prevention before. An ID was shown and a bank card with matching name on it and the correct pin code was put in. He didn't have his phone on him but that didn't stop her from completing the transaction and giving us a receipt. I wanted to know why there was this extra step, I wanted to speak to someone else about this. I just wanted to know. My husband went to go have a seat far away near the entrance. She comes back with Old Asian Lady (OAL), who I assumed was her superior. I asked her the same question of why the 3rd step of verification when clearly there is a photo ID given and the pin went through and clearly we can all see that the ID and pin matches. I voiced my concern over 'one time passcodes' as there have been many

I brought a certified cheque to deposit at BMO. It was a BMO-issued cheque made out to both myself and my wife, exactly as our BMO mortgage is registered. Despite being a modest amount, the ABM wouldn’t accept it. I went inside, but the CSR refused to deposit it into my mortgage account. When he called his manager, the manager supported him. I explained my wife’s name was on the mortgage accounts and even offered to have them call her directly. Instead, they told me I would need to open a "joint account," even though our mortgages already carry both names. After more than 20 years as BMO customers, this was disappointing. Out of frustration, I went to a competitor. They accepted the cheque immediately, requiring only a simple verification. My wife and I have agreed this was a waste of our time and to reduce our reliance on BMO services.
