I’ve been dealing with this mortgage company for over six months trying to correct a mistake they made with my payment frequency. Without my authorization, they changed my payment schedule, and when I pointed it out, they blamed my lawyer for not noticing their error sooner. I’ve spent months trying to get this resolved, but I keep getting the same runaround and no real solution. This experience has caused a lot of unnecessary stress and frustration. I expected better accountability and customer service, especially with something as important as a mortgage. I would strongly suggest that anyone considering this company review their documents carefully and keep detailed records of every interaction. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend them based on my experience

Be very careful with Home Trust. This is one of the few banks where you cannot easily break your mortgage contract without paying a huge penalty. If you sign contract you are basically locked in. You cannot refinance or change your mortgage!!! They don’t clearly explain this when you sign. I learned this the hard way. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this bank.

I would leave ZERO stars if I could. I had a secure credit card with home trust for 4 years, I secured this card with a refundable $500 when I cancel it. I cancelled it back in August and I still have not received my money back. Calling is useless because the reps are reading off a script and they go in circles no matter what you say. They say they will give you a call back with resolutions, and you NEVER get a call back. I have called them 10s of times and they repeat the same thing over and over again with no resolution. At this point, I think that my money is lost or this is a whole scheme to steal peoples money. Home trust, are you thieves?

Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service. They somehow manage to block typical transactions and mark them as "fraud" but actual sketchy transactions go through no problem. Not only that but the card replacement we got, not once but twice, SOMEHOW ended up both times having the OLD credit card number. When asked how this is possible and how this could happened, absolutely no one could answer and just kept the conversation going in circles. Honestly no wonder this company has kept receiving negative reviews non stop. When the entire office seems to have only ONE SINGLE person who can solve problems "the supervisor" and the rest of them just read off a scrip and can't do anything its no wonder people are fleeing this company like the plague.

I had a very poor experience applying for a Home Trust credit card. The entire process was slow, unclear, and outdated. My application sat with no real updates, and the verification stage dragged on far longer than it should have. Customer service didn’t help—they were hard to reach and offered vague, scripted answers without explaining what was actually happening with my application. Their fraud and identity checks also felt overly aggressive and poorly communicated, to the point where some requests looked like phishing emails. On top of that, the online system is clunky and outdated, making it difficult to track progress or submit documents. Overall, the process was frustrating, confusing, and far from what I expect from a modern financial institution. I wouldn’t recommend applying unless you’re prepared for delays and a lack of transparency.
