I have been a bank of Montreal customer more than 49 years. I openend my account in Orleans and transfered to Ingleside BMO in 1997, population 1487 in 2921 census. BMO decided to close our bank, closest bank is 30 minutes away Morrisburg or Cornwall 30 minutes away, a little town called Finch, don't blink you will miss it. Today I was in Winchester and BMO closed that bank as well, population 11782 in 2021 census. Finch 541, 2021 census, what is wrong with this picture. Who was the bright one who decided this

Got a loan for a camper at a dealership. They used BMO. I paid the camper off early. I over-paid, based on an estimated balance per a future date to allow me to ensure it would be paid in full. BMO claims they paid back the overage, yet no check was ever delivered to me. They were supposed to release the lien and notify the DMV so they could print and mail my title to me. That never happened either. I had to make the 6 hour round trip to the closest DMV that handles titles. I had to take a day off work to do this. All together, BMO has cost me around $210 caused by their inability to process the payoff correctly. When you call, you get a call center in a foreign country. What do I get from them when I explain their errors and what those errors cost me? "I'm sorry. We won't do that next time". There will be no next time!!!

Bmo online banking will not show all my accounts. I have a chequing account, line of credit and business Mastercard, however the online account will not show my business Mastercard now that my line of credit has been added to my online account. Meaning I can not see any balances or activities or transfer funds online to pay off balances or see any e-statements. I will now have to go into a bank to do any of these when it comes to my business credit card. Their online banking is not as advertised. It is one of the worst experiences I have had with online services. Very frustrating for a small business. I am looking forward to settling all debts with Bmo and switching banks.

I started banking with BMO about 20 years ago. It was never a very stellar experience. They just held my money and provided me with the bare essentials of banking. They never went the extra mile or tried to engage customers. I recently got into some financial difficulties that are on their way to being resolved. I contacted the customer service departments 3 times and still received letters and phone calls saying that I never even attempted to contact them. Even my family received phone calls saying that I've never contacted them. I've had to correct information that was recorded improperly, put up with poor advice (e.g., "borrow money from elsewhere to pay us"), and even the manager I spoke with obviously had never read the information on file. Other than the collections issue, everything is just fine. It very much feels as though you're just a file that they're keeping. I've been shopping around for other banks that seem to offer more and who provide a far superior customer service

For BMO rewards, if you choose to use towards credit on your bill, they make you click something to use it towards. Choose wisely, I just clicked any transactions but if I had chose my flights I would have received 20% more credit. Seriously? They could automate the whole thing but they know this will ensure they line their pockets more. Just lost $100 this way. The whole industry is run by a den of vipers.
