I recently attempted to open a bank account at CIB, and unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing. When I first inquired, I was told by the employee that, as a foreigner, I needed to deposit a fixed sum in Egyptian pounds in order to open an account. I was assured that this amount would be locked for 24 months, generate investment returns, and include a form of life insurance. Since I urgently needed a bank account, I agreed. At first, the minimum required deposit was stated as 12,000 EGP. When I refused, it was lowered to 6,000 EGP. Only later did I discover that what had actually been arranged was an insurance policy with AXA, something that was never clearly explained to me at the time. I also learned that I was not required to purchase such a policy in order to open a bank account, and that the actual minimum amount for this type of insurance was much lower than what I was pressured into paying. Employees are so disrespectful, they don’t listen to the customers. I didn’t have “the international bank” experience, it’s worse than any national bank. The office was a mess, smell of food and cigarettes and over all attitude was just so bad.

Another branch of my favourite bank .it can get very busy sometimes.But here's a tip for you open a plus account to speed things up

Worst bank ever, worst customer service, worst teller, worst seurity, too slow, they r not human, slothesare working there

Very good services provided by the bank, but some bankers need to be more careful with time consuming to end service with females!!!
