I wanted to give a shout out to Paolo, who helped me with a longstanding issue concerning a security deposit box that was incorrectly closed back in 2020. After calling the branch and speaking with Paolo, he was able to locate the facts of my closure, ensure the direct debit was permanently cancelled, and refunded me for any outstanding overpayments. This is after I had been calling BMO for years trying to get it resolved - but finally, someone at the branch could do it for me! If I could give employee of the year awards, I'd give one to Paolo because I finally feel like my yearly administrative doom loop with this issue is closed for good. Thank you!

Went to close my underused chequing account on new years eve, the teller was quick, had a smile,, verified my ID, and was done in 5 min. Thanks for the hard work!

Only 2 tellers working on a Thursday afternoon, who spent the entire time helping only one client each. Waited 20 minutes to simply withdraw cash. They don’t have backup tellers when the line gets long. Terrible experience, very slow.

Vanessa helped me open multiple accounts in few hours. I had to pay for a lease agreement the same day (being a newcomer) and she made sure I was able to do that transaction. She stayed 25 min overtime (after work hours) helping me out for which I am very grateful. However, days later I also submitted a credit card application from the branch which got declined because the details were filled out wrong by the staff. This led to a hard pull on a new credit file with a decline and the back office wont do anything because the application was filled wrong so they cannot accept it. Apparently, nobody can edit an application- it must be submitted again leading to another credit pull.
