Muhammad Zia Shahid is a Dubai-based tech entrepreneur and Senior Mobile Engineer with 12+ years of experience across iOS, Android, Flutter, and full-stack development. He built Buzdy to solve a problem he experienced firsthand — the complete lack of financial comparison tools for the Middle East, South Asia, and Africa.
Having lived and worked across Pakistan and the UAE, Zia saw how people in these regions struggled to compare financial products. The West had NerdWallet and Bankrate. The Global South had nothing. So he built Buzdy — covering 51+ countries, 527+ banks, and 2,000+ financial products — entirely as a solo founder, bootstrapped with zero VC funding.
