I want to thank the staff on April 17th when I came from Tranås and they were supposed to open at 11, due to illness. It really helped me that I got access to my BankID and personal code again. I wish you all the best in the office!
I appreciate how Nordea always helps its customers. I have never had a bad interaction with Nordea! They do not charge for their services, at least not that you notice! Just like many other banks do, they charge a fee after you have had an account with them for 1 year, so all of a sudden they charge 100-1000 SEK for being a customer. I don't know if Nordea does this, but I have neither seen it nor heard that they would! In short, this is my absolute favorite bank in Sweden! Good job!
I walked in, with my toddler.. (ready to be given a form and told to mail it, bla bla bla sweden and its beaucracy)
3 mins later I was talking to the teller.
I had my swedish ID, and foreign passport in hand. I have a person number and registered address, my only income is child support, which isnt arranged yet.
The bank teller opened my account there and then, I only had to sign the papers as she printed them out already filled.
30 minutes later, I walk out: I now have Mobile bank ID , and swish will be available after 7 days!
This is a stark difference to 4 other swedish banks that have been sooo difficult to deal with.
I was, and still am in shock. AMAZING.
I had good experience in opening my bank account.
Nordea Bank which is located on Nacka Forum has very good employees. Despite not knowing Swedish, they helped. They were very polite and patient. There is no queue at the bank, unlike Farsta centrum. I was very pleased with the visit. 👍.
I can't say anything good about this bank. Discriminatory behavior. Not only do they charge fees for two account holders, the second of whom doesn't have a debit card, but they also charge a foreign tax for two people. They don't respond to inquiries about why this is happening. The fact that appointments are only available by phone isn't mentioned in the information either.
Horribly lousy "bank". Not only in terms of fees but also in terms of service. Open 10-13 and then phone hours where the queues run out. Ridiculous when even your local usurer has better availability despite the same pricing.
Even after recognizing that the law entitles me to have an account despite not having a swedish fiscal number, they still refused to let me open an account! So I guess they just prefer to break the law rather than be bothered to do work they don’t like? Just openly criminal behaviour from Nordea! 😆
EDIT: to address the reply - I made it clear that I knew I would have a basic account with limitations and I was refused the possibility of opening ANY account, against THE LAW. This reply just adds insult to injury, but congrats, it did motivate me to file formal complaints!
Have been waiting for a PIN-code to do online banking for three months now. I have visited the bank several times (within their very short opening hours) to complain, but they don't seem to care. Will probably have to get an account in a different bank.
The service is awful. Whether the business can be done or not depends on the person who serve you. When you ask why, the answer is always 'case by case'.
