EDIT: After posting my original review, I was contacted by the branch by email and they asked if they could have my phone number so they could call me and have a better understanding of the whole situation. I did give them my phone number.
Two days later the branch manager called me. She was genuine and sincere in her apology and her commitment to do better. I could tell she actually cares and this is something that her and her branch really wants to improve upon. I have gone from very displeased to very impressed. This branch is actually committed to customer service and they are working on being consistently better. I am a happy customer.

I opened a checking account so that I could receive the "2023 Winter Everyday Banking Account Offer". I was assured by the employee working there that I would receive the $350 cash bonus. So, I transferred money, I set up two separate bill payments, and had those bill payments go through for two months.
I called the BMO help
Fantastic staff that seem to always go above and beyond for their banking clients. I have always had extraordinary service and treatment from BMO at various locations in Calgary, Alberta. Wonderful bank to deal with and fair with clients going through hardships. Excellent customer care, they always seem to attempt to surpass expectations.
I have been a customer of BMO since the 1990s. Of all the branches I have dealt with across Canada in that time, this is my favorite. The staff are the most competent, and can solve problems that other branches have failed at. They are particularly strong at dealing with international issues because they have international staff and international clients.
I will endeavor to do all my future banking with this branch.
I went to this location having 11 thousand dollars of fraudulent charges on my credit card and debit card, Cole was able to get all these resolved with ease and I couldn't be more appreciative! Thanks buddy!
I visited bank branch today they gave me warm wellcome and service delivery was satisfactory. They show me professionalist and respect answered my questions swiftly .

My main branch is in Hamilton.
I needed to deposit a government check.
They said it was “flagged as fraudulent “
And said it needed to clear 5 business days.
Manager sitting in empty office.
Couldn’t take a minute to look resolve the issue.
Then refused to close my account with BMO.
I rarely leave public negative reviews I’d rather deal directly with the person or business. However, there is such a lack of accountability at the branch level that it has left me with no choice. whenever I’ve used this branch for small tasks a major mistake occurs. Yesterday, my business bank card was cancelled in error. Meaning I need to make several changes with multiple vendors to update my card. As well as other inconveniences that I should not be having to deal with.
It’s unacceptable and hopefully creating awareness can help fix the issues.
I went to the branch today to activate my BMO credit card. After waiting for 15-20 mins in line with only one teller working, she took my IDs, asked me to setup a PIN and confirmed that the card is now activated.
I tried to make a purchase and guess what - the card still isn't activated. What an incompetent team!
Went there to change address and get a new card. It took FOREVER to do this small task. Then NOW MY CARD IS BLOCKED because i didn’t get a good or complete customer service! This is so annoying! Now I have to call to speak to someone who is going to either piss me off or just slow.
Why will I get a new and NEVER did they tell me at the branch that I have to login / register my new card before i login into my account!!!!!! This is so ridiculous! Now I’m blocked and have to call.

Last time I visited there to get credit card application, lady there would not even agree to take my application, and I then I asked reason she couldn’t even justify. When I gave all my details which showed my eligibility she was still rejecting my application, it was only after my persistent request, she took my application.
On the other hand my First interaction with other associate Cole was very good and he was very professional and good to talk with.
